In practice, this means we do not allow messaging content creators or press outlets unless there’s a meaningful benefit provided, such as a guaranteed activation key or early access. Whether we’re sending newsletters, targeted emails, or even social posts designed by our in-house creative team, every communication is carefully considered for its ability to keep engagement rates high. Our safeguards ensure that recipients view your outreach as both respectful and relevant, safeguarding your reputation and theirs.
We’re aware that some platforms highlight their ability to send massive volumes of email to their networks, but they’ve increasingly earned a reputation as “spam houses”—and this can rub off on your brand. Many content creators and press outlets have grown weary of these indiscriminate, low-value notifications. Such messages merely announce that a campaign exists without offering any tangible incentive—thus diminishing trust, damaging long-term open rates, and prompting influencers to overlook future offers.
When designing our system, we carefully considered this feedback from the very creators you’re trying to reach. Our goal is to give you the ability to broaden your outreach as needed, without diluting the value of your communications, undermining your standing, or risking dismissal as just another spam source.
Balancing Genuine Value with Efficient Campaign Management
This commitment has, until now, placed a certain burden on clients—particularly with our “outreach” and “press blast” functionalities, which can be likened to email direct marketing. Because we’ve required that each recipient have a pre-allocated activation code, you could only send a message if you also had a key reserved for them. The payoff for recipients was instant: if they were interested, they could immediately claim the code allocated to them. But for you, the client, this means carefully managing your key inventory and possibly allocating thousands of codes upfront, even though you’ll rarely see a 100% claim rate.
Furthermore, our platform’s guidelines ensure that once an offer has gone out, it can’t be revoked prematurely. We require a reasonable window of time for the recipient to consider the opportunity. Nothing erodes trust faster than receiving an attractive offer one day, only to find it withdrawn the next. Although you can expire offers and reuse unclaimed keys, it must be done in a way that respects the recipient’s decision-making process.

The Evolution of Pre-Approval
More than a year ago, we introduced a pre-approval feature primarily to streamline inbound requests. Content creators or press outlets meeting your criteria were instantly pre-approved to claim a key without the need for manual intervention. This feature was extremely successful and more recently extended into our PressBlast tool. By pre-approving individuals or large groups of press contacts before sending a notification, you ensured that every outreach carried genuine value—if they were interested, they could immediately claim a code with no extra steps.
This approach resonated strongly with clients who needed to notify almost everyone in our extensive media network—thousands of press and media outlets with billions of readers collectively—without having to commit all those keys upfront. After all, even the best games don’t see a 100% claim rate, and it’s in everyone’s interest to send offers that are both generous and realistic. Our account management team works closely with clients to maintain this equilibrium: the broadest possible outreach combined with careful selection to keep quality high, trust intact, and conversion rates solid.
Introducing Pre-Approval for Influencer Outreach (Beta)
Today, we’re thrilled to announce the extension of our pre-approval system into Influencer Outreach. Currently in beta, this new feature allows you to pre-approve various influencers—be they major YouTubers, Twitch streamers, TikTok personalities, or up-and-coming creators—before sending your outreach notifications. Once enabled, you can broadcast your message to a wide selection of carefully chosen content creators who have shown interest in similar games, all without needing to allocate a key for every single recipient right from the start.

This can significantly reduce activation codes tied up in initial outreach campaigns, freeing up resources for future offers or more targeted follow-ups, such as unconditional offers made in parallel to major channels, as clients have always done.
