When the pool runs out, clients can top up, or the campaign ends.

The new campaign type is entering beta today. We aren’t charging commission during beta, after which it will be 10% of the pool value, with a minimum pool of $2,500. (And clients on a subscription can avoid commissions altogether by using subscription entitlements to promote their campaigns.)

By setting a lower commission than the current industry standard, more budget can transfer to the creators who make the content. And a more affordable minimum pool will let more publishers and developers use this additional way to market their games.

CreatorPool complements rather than replaces code seeding, the default Keymailer campaign type. Most clients use code seeding first because it carries an average $1.75 CPM**, compared to $5 CPM expected for short-form paid content. Organic or code seeding campaigns also tend to deliver original, long-form and live-stream content, while CPM campaigns tend to deliver voiceover-style, short-form content, and require paid content disclosures.

So CPM-based campaigns offer a fresh option for engaging creators when organic or code seeding isn’t available, or has run its course – this could be for a demo, post-launch, or to extend the reach of a code-seeding campaign.

To ensure success, we’ve introduced a higher accreditation tier for CreatorPool campaigns, with 500 major channels bringing 420 million followers, pre-approved at launch.
